Day 69!

Today (I'm going back to sleep, so I'm saying today) was busy and fulfilling. It was very strange today to be in a room again, taking the SAT...well, administering it, but when you're reading and scribing, it's impossible not to mentally take it as well.

With the extended time, it was a long day. Thankfully, the school bought pizza for the special ed students and proctors to have at a break. Our testing went from 7:45 - 2:45; we needed that lunch break.

The rest of the day went uphill from there: THE LAST PERIOD OF THAT BRUINS GAME! I shouted and cheered and was so, so proud and happy. I was super glad to see the Kings take Game 1 over Anaheim as well. Thanks, hockey gods!

This was taken from the town beach, on my walk; it's just a few minutes from my house.

Winter and snow and ice were around for so terribly long that I almost forgot how incredibly beautiful my town can be. The lighting last night in the hour before sunset was absolutely stunning. The fresh air cleared my headache away and took away the chill I was feeling, and the walk was very stress relieving.

I wish the rain would let up some so that I can have more afternoon's like this one!

Day 52!

Despite the fact that Spring seemed to forget it had started to arrive, I was able to find things to enjoy.

Firstly, the delay allowed me the chance to Facebook message with a best friend. Time differences are such a pain, so this was a nice surprise.

Secondly, I still went for an evening walk in the brisk air and it was quite beautiful out.

The day had melted the snow it began with so I did go out walking. I live just a street up from the lake, so I meandered down and saw some lovely views as the sun started to turn the sky pink and the lake water peaking through the ice started to reflect it. It was peaceful and made me happy.

Day 17!

While I am tired and would rather have Spring than two feet of oncoming snow, I would mark today as successful. 

A twisted version of scattergories turned into a great game at work. I frosted all those cupcakes (there were 60) in 20 minutes and apparently they were delicious (I don't like cake so I didn't know but they seemed fluffy). I finished my fab book but would like the end to not have been the end - seriously, in media res much? The Bruins are currently eating the Canadiens for breakfast.

A less than bright spot? BU's poor men's basketball team. They were better than that game showed them this season and I rather sad they won't go back to the dance - they deserved it.

My moment of happy today came rather early and it's one thing I will never stop loving about where I live:

My phone didn't do that vibrant, flamingo pink justice, it's really, really beautiful. It may be hard to wake up and leave for work by 6:45, but driving past that every morning? Better than coffee, man.
